Acupuncture the drugless therapy which was developed in China over 3000 years ago, has been used successfully to treat a variety of illnesses world wide. Acupuncture works by stimulating designated points on the body via the insertion of very fine acupuncture needles. These points correspond with the functions of internal organs and other bodily processes as defined by the principles of Chinese medicine.

Acupuncture in backache:

·         Increases circulation in the problem area and promotes tissue regeneration.

·         Effectively deactivates trigger points, which are overly sensitive spots beneath the skin that sometimes "trigger" pain or other symptoms into a "reference" zone.

Acupuncture in musculoskeletal disorders:

·      Beneficial in cases where analgesics and anti-inflammatory   medications have been ineffective or have demonstrated side effects.

Acupuncture in pain relief:

·         Stimulates the release of endorphins, body's natural pain killers which are very potent, and they are produced naturally by the body, so they have no side effects.

·         Acts on the nervous system by blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain.
