Those between 30 to 45 were employed, traveling by public transport and were trying to balance the stressful personal and career oriented professional life and did very well with ear acupuncture ----besides BODY ACUPUNCTURE EAR ACUPUNCTURE gives tremendous relief in stress, anxiety and depression.

Those between 45 to 60 showed early degenerative changes on spine like osteophytes and narrowed spaces and due to dietary insufficiency had low calcium in the bones and did well with hormone balancing points on ear along with body acupuncture.

Those above 60 yrs due to Indian life style - retired and tired of life with more degenerative changes all along and were essentially on nsaids but did well after 2 to 3 courses and could give up nsaids and became more functional and LESS DEPENDENT.

Elderly pts were taught life style modification and standard spinal workouts and were encouraged to maintain weight and cardiovascular endurance.

160 cases of PID where LUMBAR DISC PROLAPSE was clearly evident on MRI and were advised surgery but did not have to go for surgery and have reverted to their life without intervention, elastic or rigid lumbo sacral support.

30 cases of CERVICAL DISC PROLAPSE where disc prolapse was clearly evident on MRI and were advised surgery but did not have to go for surgery and have reverted to their life without intervention , pain killers or collar support .

9 PATIENTS underwent surgery for PID had recurrence and were advised surgery again but were benefited so well with acupuncture that they did not have to go for surgery second time and till this date I have their follow up.

150 cases of OSTEOARTHRITIS OF KNEE JOINTS with various degrees of degenerative changes were quite immobile due to pain, stiffness and limitation of movement and were finding it difficult to tolerate nsaids were benefited considerably. Pain and stiffness were relieved and could discontinue nsaids. Those who were advised total replacement of knee joints and did not want to undergo surgery for the operative risk factors have opted for acupuncture for pain relief without nsaids and continue to function till today with modified life style but have been continuing acupuncture for symptomatic pain relief periodically.

150 cases of CERVICAL pain in age group ranging from 20 yrs to 70 yrs with various degrees of symptom complex from pain to tingling numbness and with cervical collar have been doing very well till today completely relieved of pains and without cervical collar.

CASE HISTORIES OF PATIENTS

1. 52 yrs old business woman admitted in a local orthopedic nursing home with severe cervical pain was given traction and various degrees of anti inflammatory pain killers for 5 days with no relief came for acupuncture .After 20 sittings she was completely relieved of pains and could discard cervical collar and is doing her household work and drives her vehicle.
2. 48 yrs old head CEO of an IT division in a bank was enduring severe cervical pain while working in front of the computer the whole day and tremendous corporate stress was on pain killers , cervical collar and with heating pads while at work.He came to us as a friend from usa had suggested to go for acupuncture, . at the end of 20 sittings all his symptoms were relieved and he could give up the pain killers and cervical collar and resume his office work with more efficiency.

21. 46 yrs old vice president  finance  of a communication company working continuously on computers and laptop developed cervical disc prolapse for which he remained bed-ridden for 22 days due to severe pain on the neck radiated along the left shoulder , received 12 injections of steroids at a corporate hospital with conventional pain killers but of no avail and was advised surgery finally came for
